However,
although an attractive handset, it undoubtedly
resembles the Nokia 8310,
which is, the same size and also features
FM radio, GPRS and high-speed Internet
access. However this new model does include
a personal ‘wallet’ where users
can store personal pin numbers, bank details
etc. for use when shopping on the Internet.
There’s also the option to store
a WIM – a wireless identity module,
or a digital signature allowing you to
sign for goods or services ‘on-line’.
Music lovers can listen to hours of continuous
radio transmission on the 6510.
Although
this handset does not have Bluetooth,
this will not stop the user connecting
to other devices using its infrared communications
port. It doesn’t feature a separate
e-mail facility but the up-to-date WAP
1.2.1.browser will memorise up to 25
bookmarks.
Other features of the 6510 include a phonebook
capable of storing 500 contacts, a sizeable
calendar, to-do list, facility to store
150 SMS messages, built-in voice recorder,
clock, alarm, stopwatch, currency converter,
vibrating alert and the familiar four Nokia
games.
